The Adult world is still a mystery to the children of the West Country in the
Summer of 1943. The end of the war is still two years off; but for these
seven-year-olds it may as well be a lifetime away. Blue Remembered Hills is
Dennis Potter’s acclaimed story of a lost innocence. The hills and woodland
of rural England are the children’s playground. Childhood loyalty and
friendship is explored with all the laughter and cruelty that children are
capable of; but a single tragic event brings their idyll crashing to the
earth. From that moment everything changes . . . forever . . .
The Wycombe Swan's resident theatre company presents Dennis Potter's
extraordinarily moving play at the Wycombe Swan Town Hall Studio prior to
its London run. Seven children played by seven adults, as specified by the
author, in an evening which will re-awaken the child in each of us.

A selection of production photographs for Godot will be on public display in a National Gallery for two weeks at the end of November. The photos are a taking a small part in helping to commemorate the centenary of Samuel Beckett's birth. The exhibition will take place in the National Gallery of Macedonia, Skopje. High resolution images were required so the original (35mm photos) have been re-scanned and are now available online.

The moon’s silvered light bathed the sleeping Puck and, filling him with
midsummer madness, encouraged him to create chaos in the lives of six
Athenian lovers. Tight Fit Theatre began its eleventh season with
Shakespeare’s most enduring and endearing comedy. Mark Oldknow and the
company wove a spell that delighted all ages. With Tight Fit
Theatre’s usual emphasis on clarity and accessibility, this exhilarating
new production from the Swan’s resident company promised an evening of
magic and mayhem. Post show discussions and linked schools workshops are still available, please
contact the company for details.

Do you have a Trojan?
I guess the price paid for using email these days is that one cannot help but receive some spam. But, is your computer sending spam without your knowledge? For the past weeks I have received numerous 'delivery failure' notices where emails have apparently been sent from a Tight Fit Theatre email address which does not exist. To cut a long story short, this is a sure sign that a Trojan or a Virus somewhere is faking the 'From' address on emails, using a random name before the '@' and sending spam to every address it can find on someone's hard drive. It may be a coincidence, but spam is also being returned from two addresses which have not been in use since 2003. So, if you are someone who uses their computer at about lunchtime at weekends and was interested in our Summer School and Panto in 2003, could this be you? Windows users can download anti-virus and other anti-malware programs for free, so there's no excuse really. Or buy a machine which does not suffer this problem, as here.
